Dear Sir,

Your favor of the 28th ultimate has just come to hand with it’s contents, namely, five dollars.

The amount of your account is nine dollars, with a credit now of five, leaving a balance in our favor of four dollars, which I doubt not you will settle soon.

I will ascertain whether I can mail your books tomorrow, and, if so, will send them to you forthwith.
