Dear companion,
I seat myself to drop you a few lines which will inform you that I am not well. Broke out all over with the measles they say, and I am going to the hospital today.
I hope these lines will find you in the best of health with all the rest of the family. I am not sick much and I am able to sit up and write.
I intend to send this with my coat. I will send it by Mr. W. Bowen who will leave it in Milner in care of Mrs. William Spencer and she will send it over to Mrs. Orear’s and you can get it there.
Mr. Orear is well.
Mr. Benson is complaining of cold. He is better this morning.
So, I will close. May God bless and protect you and our offspring with all the rest of the family.
Yours, etc.
W. H. Harden
