Dear brother and family,

I write to let you know we are all up, but not well.  Jane and I are both complaining.  Some of the children have sore eyes.

We calculate to try to come there on Thursday before the first Sunday, and then I will go from there to the Association, and let Jane and the children remain there till I return.

Tell Brother Gus if he has my boots done, I will wear them.
